  • EMS Only Volunteers are now accepted. No experience necessary, we will train you. Answer emergency medical calls only, no fire academy or fire training needed. Current medically trained volunteers welcome. If serving your community as an EMT or greater without having to become a firefighter interests you, call us, your community needs you! Over 80% of Fire district 18 alarms are medical related.  Every thing from traumatic injuries to cardiac arrest. If you are interested or would like more information call Lt.   • We have seen a large number of dryer fires lately. Please make sure you check your clothes dryer vent once a year to prevent fires. If you have any questions on how to inspect your dryer, call 360-595-0130.

  • The EMS Levy passed with flying colors! The Firefighters thank you for your votes. The levy provides funds to maintain current levels of EMS support.

  • Glenhaven residents and those in district 18 living near a hydrant can now save money on their home insurance rates. George Henderson worked with John Simmons to make sure the neighborhood fire safety exceeded previous standards. By ensuring that an adequate water supply is available and in close proximity of all residents, George was able improve the fire rating from a class 8 to a class 6. A copy of the letter can be sent to your insurance company for details.

  • The Free CPR/First Aid course for babysitters (ages 10-18) is accepting names. To be added to the waiting list, call Michelle Goelzenleuchter at 360-739-5633.
